Stock market falls to 2,832 points, attraction in microfinance

 


6-August, Kathmandu. The stock market fell slightly on Wednesday. The market index NEPSE fell by a total of 1.94 points compared to the previous day. After that decline, NEPSE closed at 2832.

 The weighted average price of the last 15 minutes, which increased by 2 points before the market calculation, decreased after the calculation. The trading amount has also decreased. The previous day's trading volume was 9.33 billion, but today's trading volume was 7.63 billion.

 During trading, the market had reached 2,856 points at 1:46 pm. At 11:37 am, the lowest point for the day was 2,828 points. While the prices of 112 companies increased, 138 fell.

 Today, there is an attraction in microfinance. The attraction in this group has been seen after the market started talking about the possibility of microfinance companies giving more than 15 percent dividend to shareholders from the profits of the last fiscal year. The group increased by 1.41 percent. 

 Similarly, investment increased by 0.49 percent, others by 0.44 percent. Banking by 0.47 percent, development banks by 0.61 percent, finance by 0.41 percent, hotels and tourism by 0.05 percent, hydropower by 0.15 percent, life insurance by 0.45 percent, production and processing by 0.10 percent, non-life insurance by 0.36 percent, and trade by 0.66 percent. 

 The prices of three companies increased by 10 percent. The companies that increased by 10 percent are Bin Nepal Microfinance, Mahuli Microfinance and Trade Tower. Similarly, the prices of Samaj Microfinance increased by 7.93 percent and Swabhiman Microfinance increased by 7.83 percent.

 The price of Threestar Hydropower fell by 3.78 percent, Samata Domestic Finance by 2.72 percent, and Unilever Nepal by 2.71 percent. 

 Among the companies with the most transactions today, Ngadi Group, Himalayan Reinsurance, Shivam Cement, NRN Infrastructure, and Balefi Hydropower were the top performers.
